About Us

The Council for Third Age, C3A, set up in May 2007, is an agency which promotes active ageing in Singapore through public education, outreach and partnerships. As an umbrella body in the active ageing landscape, with its focus on lifelong learning, senior volunteerism, and positive ageing, C3A works with and through partners to help third agers age well. Through various initiatives and platforms, third agers can self-discover and enhance their different dimensions of wellness in their journey of positive ageing.

C3A is also the mandated implementer for two national initiatives: National Silver Academy (NSA) and Silver Volunteer Fund, under government’s Action Plan for Successful Ageing.

Our Brand

The Council for Third Age logo consists of two elements – the fluid ribbon and tagline. The fluid ribbon represents the energy, dynamism and sense of infinite possibilities which C3A hopes to inspire in the ageing landscape. The bright colours – purple, red and yellow convey the vibrancy and passion of seniors.

The tagline “Ageing Well” completes the logo. It embodies C3A’s vision of creating a society in which seniors can age successfully. It is a simple but unifying expression for all campaigns and communications undertaken by the Council.
